About

I am a fun lover, a free spirit and a girl who yearns to travel and explore the world.

What do I love: my family, caffeine, jelly belly's, long runs, hot yoga, deep belly laughs and Jesus. I like to run and find that I can lose or find my thoughts during those lengthy double digit runs. I have run nine marathons and am gearing up to run thee Boston Marathon for the second time!!! I frequently sing really off key and throw out all kinds of hand gestures into the universe in my own form of “run dancing” (it is truly liberating, you should really try it sometime!)

I am the mother to three headstrong and tenacious little humans. They are the primary reason I became a photographer. Winston is 13 loves to talk mostly in the form of arguing or rebuttals. Is a beast on the soccer field, loves basketball, football and track as well. Cora is a sweet ginger who shares her love of dance and softball equally. Shes my go with the flow easy breezy middle child, who makes being a mom beyond rewarding. That leads me to our “baby” Monroe who is 7. Mo can best be summed up as the life of the party.

My husband Drew and I went to preschool together…but it wasn’t love at first sight, evidently I wasn’t marriage material at the ripe age of four. Fast forward a few decades later, we both graduate from UNI, get married, and settled down in NE Iowa. We will be celebrating our 15th anniversary this year, I have a feeling it is going to be epic!

I have two Bachelors degrees, as it seems education is something I crave and find myself a forever student in this life.

I picked up my first DSLR camera when Winston was born because I didn’t want to miss a single moment of his life, turns out I’m still chasing him and his siblings with my camera(s) 13 years later!
